The first module for the season has arrived! I thought what better way to get things started than by bringing on new class options for the Beacons. I know that as a Destiny player, I not only strongly connect
with my class (warlock for life), but the way each elemental subclass feels different makes things really fun.
Why is it called Kindle? Kindling is usually associated with fire, but all the elements are represented here. That’s because Spark is about all the different kinds of light that can grow. Roaring fires, cracking lightning, and even the brilliant nether-glow of the void. So Kindling is
how our Beacons get started, sparking them to life and getting them started with their adventures.

Kindle brings a more “complicated” version of character creation, where players not only choose what elements to be best at, but now they decide how to divide Health and Light. Doing so allows players to decide if they want to be able to take a beating but limit their Light access, or be glass cannons that burn bright but hopefully not too bright.

Each class has Powers fitting the element, but also a new melee and perk. I realize that some folks may have liked the generic melee and perks from the core rules, and invite GMs to allow their players to use those instead if they prefer.

The real question is, once a player chooses one, then what? I think we’re going to need some Strikes that inspire the Beacons to go seek out dangerous and powerful locations across the system, to become more attuned to their Light and gain access to the other subclasses.
