From the introduction:
London is a powder keg, packed with poverty, racial hatred and misery. Fear and hate hang in the air. There is icy contempt between the two parties in the House. There are constant violent conflicts between skinheads, police, and immigrants in the areas of Brixton and Clapham. The English do not live just in the shadow of the Eastern bloc troops and bombs, but also are threatened by the darkness in their midst. Extremist political groups, fueled by the extensive social problems, threaten the British Empire from within.
The English need heroes. Heroes with pride. Heroes who will raise their heads high, say "enough is enough," and make it safer for the man on the street to walk around on London's rainy streets. Heroes who will struggle for justice and the worn ideals of God, the Queen, and the country.
