Description

Lonely Ice is a solo game in which 60 colored pyramids of three different sizes are distributed randomly across the playing board, which consists of 20 cards placed at 90-degree angles to one another. The goal is to move pyramids across the cards such that each card contains exactly three pyramids of the same color. Movement is restricted via two factors: the size of the pyramids and the angle of the playing card on which they sit. In order for the board state to change, a pyramid on one card must "attack" (trade places with) a pyramid on a neighboring card. This swapping of places will only be successful if the pyramid initiating the attack is at least as large as the pyramid that it's attacking. In addition, attacks can only occur from the short sides of the card toward the long sides of the card.

There is also an advanced version of the game in which 25 playing cards are used to create the board, and one extra color's worth of pyramids is used (meaning 25*3=75 pyramids for the advanced game.)

There are also two Extra Challenges. In the first, the win condition is increased to having each row only allowed to contain one color; and the win condition is further increased to requiring exactly one pyramid of each size on each card (with the row restriction still in place).
