Long Knives was a set of rules published by Greenfield Hobby Distributors and written by Jim Birdseye.

They were a simple but effective set of rules that depicted Indian vs Cavalry actions in the old west.

No counters came with the game as they were primarily printed with the use of miniatures in mind.

Catalogue Description.
Basic rules for skirmish warfare in the Old West, covering the period 1830-1898, with special emphasis on the post-Civil War era. Rules are based on tactical level engagement where miniatures will represent individual combatants, with a scale of 4 yards per inch and 20 seconds per turn. Historical background and designer notes round out this 28-page booklet, complete with charts and optional procedures for play. Requires a standard deck of cards, six-sided and percentile dice for play (not included).
