Loophole is a battle royale on a 5 x 5 grid. Players control a game piece with 9 lives and an immortal ghost piece.
Dice are rolled to determine movement. Squares containing loopholes allow players to transport themselves around the grid. Players navigate opponent's game pieces, ghosts, and a mirror at the center of the board. If a player's life counter die reaches 0 - their game piece is removed from the board, however, their ghost piece remains in play. This offers players who can no longer win an opportunity to cause mischief and avenge their loss. The last player with their game piece on the grid wins.
A unique, optional element is the soundtrack. There are periodic cues in the audio that signal a player should lose a turn. When the soundtrack is over - the game is over. In this variation the player with the most remaining lives wins.
