From the introduction:
This is your fairly straightforward lovestory. Guy is born; guy dies never having met girl. Girl is born; girl dies never having met guy. Some meddlers from way in the future decided that they both should have met each other, fallen madly in love, done lots of deep staring into each others’ eyes and then gone away somewhere to do all the things they never mention in the traditional love stories.2 The PCs are those people. Well, the PCs are the poor saps who have volunteered (in all but one case) to go on this heroic quest and show the world what real True Love is all about and how everyone would be so much happier if there was more of it around. It’s all very simple, the PCs have a bit of time to prepare, then they’re sent back in time to grab Mellius. After that they’ve got to persuade someone to send them forward in time, somehow, grab Gretelina and introduce her to Mellius.3 It should be plain sailing after that. See, like I told you, simple. So, if we’re all happy, let’s go. Oh, just one last thing, I know this one has time travel in it, and I know that last year’s scenario had time travel in it, but that’s just sheer fluke. Put it down to too much Dr. Who watching in my formative years. And stop complaining.
