Years ago, while quite young, Bern and Gildea were in love, but they were forced apart and each entered a life of high ideals and strict rules; as a knight and as a nun. But what happens when the separated lovers reunite after many years apart, as a civil war breaks out and their lives change drastically? The players will be divided into two duos; one of two knights, the other of nuns, and throughout most of the scenario, there will be a narrative distance between these two groups. While split, these groups can only communicate with each other via letters delivered through monologues.
The scenario takes its inspiration and its setting from the medieval courtly romances involving the noble knights of King Arthur, while also trying to emulate this genre. Prepare for excitement as evil knights threaten the realm, and love and honor are at stake while the players have to make difficult decisions. It will be dramatic, grand and romantic – in the word’s original non-wine-and-chocolate related meaning.
