An elderly master artisan has spent her life pursuing toy making, wanting her work to bring joy to the lives of children. Nearly a decade ago, she began what was intended to be her greatest and final work, the finest of puppets and a friend to the children she knew she would someday be unable to help herself. While her efforts produced something near perfect, she eventually came to what others might call a tragic conclusion: she truly needed to put her all into this work. The crafting would require a portion of her very soul, certainly dying in the process. What the woman did not intend is the aftermath of her grand effort: the attention of the Sin Hunters who now believe some dark magical force is the cause of her death. The party must now find answers before the crafter’s final creation is discovered by far less tolerant forces.
Love of the Craft is a Q-Encounter, or Quick-Encounter, that can be run for a group of four to six players with 7th-level characters. This encounter would be considered a ‘medium’ to ‘hard’ encounter.
