Description

Luck

The 1943 edition of Luck is a set of 15 games, all to be played with the same five dice. The games are Ace in the Pot, African Golf, Beat the Banker, Black Cat, Dice Black Jack, Dice Draw Poker, Dice Race Horse, Floradora Sextette, Help Your Neighbor, Hi-Lo, Hooligan, Multiplication, Up and Down the River, Put and Take, and Yatzie (Yacht, a forerunner of Yahtzee), the best known game in the package.

The 1953 edition adds a sixth die and 15 more games: Barbudi, Big Dick, Black Dice, Bunco, Cross out the Numbers, Dice Baseball, Dice Ten Pins, Dice Tic-Tac-Toe, Drop Dead, Going to Boston, High Dice, Rotation, Round the Spot, Thirty Six, and Under and Over.

Some of these games may be Reginald Leister's own creations, but most of them (such as Yatzie) are dice games which had been played for decades. Leister may be the first to publish rules to some of these.

The box says "New and Hilarious fun for 2 to 20 people". This game was produced by the Leister Game Company of Toledo, Ohio.
