Description

From publisher blurb:

Digging for the Future in the Harshest Frontier

The Moon is not a land of luxury. It does not forgive mistakes. There is no air to breathe, no water flowing freely, no blue sky above. The lunar dust grinds down everything—metal, machines, even human lungs. The sun is merciless, its radiation searing anything unprotected. And yet, beneath this brutal, lifeless rock lies the fuel of tomorrow—helium-3 for fusion reactors, ice for water and oxygen, and rare metals that will build the future.

This is where the Lunar Miner thrives. They are the operators of colossal drills, the technicians of autonomous mining fleets, the salvagers of the Moon’s untapped riches. Whether working in the darkness of permanently shadowed craters or braving the glare of the lunar day, they are the foundation of humanity’s expansion into space.

A Job Unlike Any Other

Lunar mining is not just hard work—it is survival. There are no second chances when an oxygen tank fails or a pressure seal cracks. Unlike miners of old who could simply climb out of a collapsed tunnel, a Lunar Miner must work in an environment where every mistake is lethal.

They work in reinforced exo-suits, designed to withstand the Moon’s harsh conditions. Their tools are more than just drills—they are weapons against the void. Mining lasers cut through rock with surgical precision, robotic drones assist in excavation, and reinforced vehicles carry tons of regolith to refineries.

The dangers are constant:

Cave-ins in the unstable tunnels beneath the surface.
Micrometeoroid impacts that tear through machinery and suits without warning.
Solar flares that send radiation storms sweeping across the Moon.
Dust contamination, which can jam equipment and infiltrate vital systems.
Only those with skill, patience, and sheer endurance can make it as true Lunar Miners.

More Than Just a Job—A Calling

Some Lunar Miners come from the domes of the Moon, born and raised under artificial ceilings, learning to handle excavation rigs before they even see Earth’s sky. Others are exiled from Earth, desperate for a second chance, signing their lives away for a corporate contract that might never let them return. There are those who come for profit, drawn by the promise of riches hidden beneath the regolith. And there are the true pioneers, who mine not for themselves, but for something greater—the vision of humanity pushing beyond Earth, beyond the Moon, beyond the Solar System itself.

But no matter how they start, all Lunar Miners share one truth: the Moon does not care if they live or die. They must be self-reliant, adaptable, and unbreakable. There is no cavalry coming. If a miner gets stranded, they either fix their problem—or they don’t come back.

This is a full 5e Class, with a description, Unique Abilties and Level progression up to 20th Level, for a Near Future Scifi setting.
