Description

Lupercalia is a matchbox game from Japan, for two co-operative players. The designer is hoping that it will bring the players closer to a better friendship.

Lupercalia is a Roman festival for cleansing and purging, held from February 13th to 15th. In this game, it stands in for Valentine's day, and the them is bringing male and female couples together.

The game has a small deck of cards in male/female pairs, 1 blue pair, 2 red and 3 yellow pairs. The players draw cards and work together to try and decide whether they will be matching or not. The probability in the game means that by the end, players should have a better chance of creating pairs successfully.

The designer says that should the game not bring you closer to your friedn, you should say 'one more time!' and play again.
