Macuahuitl: Quickstart Rules

What you have here are the basic, bare-bones rules for Macuahuitl. This game uses the classic Whitebox style rules but places the game in the ancient Aztec Empire. Players will take on the roles of eagle and jaguar warriors along with the shamanistic sorcerer class of the Nahualli (some more special classes are available in the complete rules). As a party, players will capture foes for sacrifice (and status points, or “SP”, which is used for level advancement) and raid enemy towns while encountering creatures from Aztec mythology along the way. The game is deadly and dangerous. Since this is a quickstart document, the rules are incomplete. The full book will have complete rules for more spells and other such aspects.
