Mahta Mahti is a very different kind of card game. It is challenging enough to interest adults and experienced gamers, but simple enough to appeal to kids old enough to put a thought into something. It is designed for 3-10 players, ages 12+, although we've seen 10 year olds play quite well. Cards are played from the hand onto a play area that is 16 cards square; four rows of four cards. The novel nature of Mahta Mahti cards is that as uniquely square cards with matchable numbers on all four sides, each card is rotated to find the best match. Even more unique is that the scoring landscape constantly changes as cards are played on top one another. Right card; right spot; best match; best score. It's that simple. A little strategy, a little arithmetic and a lot of fun. The kind of game that makes kids dream of college, not monsters.
