Maldita Castilla is a freeware action/platform game by Locomalito. Although the game immediately reminds of Ghosts'n'Goblins, the developer cites numerous games as his sources of inspiration, including Tiger Road, Black Tiger, Shinobi, Rygar, Karnov and Trojan.
The game includes 6 levels, dozens of different enemies and two different endings. Its style is decidedly retro, with use of a limited color palette and "dirty monitor" effect.
Maldita Castilla's theme blends Spanish mythology with a 16th century chivalry book from the Iberian Peninsula called "Amadis de Gaula".
