The Formar nations of Ilunir declined into fractured and ineffectual fiefdoms following the abatement of devotion to Malineth. By this point the grip of Diar rule had closed around this once-proud land. The Formar dominant in their neighbouring land of Neyarazin extended the hand of stewardship to the Formar of Ilunir, but this was declined largely due to fear and suspicion of “those across the mountains”. Many old beliefs thrive to this day in the backwater villages and towns of Ilunir. Old Magic also lives here, the secrets of which are jealously guarded by Witches and Battle-Majisters alike. There are those who still believe that Malineth will return, and bestow her kiss once more.
