Description

From publisher blurb:

Six Lineages
Okatuum. The okatuum descended from the lost house of Okathuunatar, Lord of Fens. Through that ancient tradition, the Spoonbill Ordling was formed: allowing the okatuum to learn how to navigate, manage, and build within the world’s wetlands. Bogs and marshes are treacherous, and here, doorways to Beyond often open.

Tiumburu. The tiumburu are of the old house of Tiumbahasht, Woodland Warlord. From that line, the Sabertooth Ordling was formed: specializing in forest trapping and hunting, as well as wayfinding. Many small woodland communities are lucky to have a tiumburu mammut around, keeping them safe from the bigger creatures, and sometimes providing food when all else is scarce.

Hykananu. The hykananu descended from the house of Hykanandor, Hill Jumper. Like the wild wolves that represent their ordling, the hykananu keep to the traditions of their lost house, wandering the highlands and hillocks of the world and keeping back those beasts that would wander too close.

Ruuluum. The ruuluum come from the long line of the house of Ruulmumbarak, Towering Terror. It was here that the Terror Bird Ordling grew, built around speed, endurance, and fear tactics. The ruuluum are wanderers of the grasslands of the world, keeping packs of terror birds well trained and bonded to help protect caravans and wagon trains from big cats or other bigger creatures that might wander too close. A ruuluum is rumored to be able to simply look to their pack, and the birds do the rest.

Mamanagan. The mamanagan are the oldest and first of the mammut, calling their lineage back to Old Boar Mamadrakad, Keeper of the Frost. From them, the Woolly Rhino Ordling grew. Dedicated to protecting the northern realms of the world where the snow lays deep and the bands between realities often blend in the long late nights, the mamanagan often spend months away from home, on the move, keeping the small settlements safe from the shadowy horrors that reach out through the wisps of night.

Khlumuuth. The khulmuuth, while the smallest and sometimes least assuming of the mammut, are the most common to come across amongst the civilized places of the world. In fact, the khulmuuth formed their own Ordling, that of the Ground Sloth, and were welcomed into the mammut Ordlings with open arms. The khulmuuth are often information gatherers for the other Ordlings, or work to help take care of lower priority problems. Because of this, they have a close connection with the communities they serve.
