From the introduction:
The Mano a Mano Role-Playing System 2016 Edition (MaM) is a system of rules for use in role-playing games. Very creative game masters could use MaM as an RPG system book like GURPS or Cortex, however MaM is instead intended to be used as a foundation on which to build core RPG rule books, like you see in more specialized Role-Playing Games such as Pathfinder or Mutants and Masterminds. This is why Mano a Mano does not include information about settings, plots, play styles, monsters, heroes, genres, etc.
Although we have designed these rules for high levels of balance and stability (one "coordination" bonus for all types of attacks, one "power" attribute for damage, logarithmic "character points" treat bonuses, damage and hit points as multipliers) the system is also designed to be modifiable and expandable. It should be easy to add and remove new abilities by balancing them against the current abilities, and we hope other game designers will come up with more rules to expand what MaM can do.
