Maze Race is a fairly simple game written by Mike Peterson and published as type-in source code listings in Compute! Issue 26, July 1982. Source code was provided for Commodore PET/CBM, Microsoft (DOS), and Atari 8-bit systems.
The game makes fairly extensive (adapted) use of a Maze Generator algorithm, written by Charles Bond and published as type-in code in Compute! Issue 19, December 1981.
Many of the base maze-generation algorithms were revised for performance in High Speed Mazer, written by Gary E. Marsa and published as type-in source code in Compute! Issue 41, October 1983.
