Mediterranean Fleet Story

Game ID: GID0205785
Collection Status
Description

This is a doujin (fan-made) game that was only for sell at Japanese game shows. It was made on demand, and you had to order in advance to get it, then pick it up at the show. They were not made for the general public.

This game deals with the Mediterranean theater during WW2 and pits the UK versus the Italians and Germans.

The game contains three scenarios with different victory conditions. It is a typical I-go-you-go game, and fleets are moved by areas on the map. Fleets can pick up and drop off as they move. When a fleet moves into a box with enemy forces, combat is resolved.

Combat is fought on a tactical map with rows A-G. Ships move by rows and can attack at certain ranges. Guns can shoot 5 rows and torpedo strikes can shoot 3 rows. Ships can create smoke screens and can withdraw from combat. There are air strikes in the game too.

The game comes with one sheet of rules, one sheet of scenarios, 1 sheet of counters, and two maps. Assembly is required.
