There is a new Breed of wargame that stresses some of the elements found in RPG's, and Battletech is one of these games. It encourages the players to identify with the units that they control, which results in far more believable battle. Battletech is also great fun to play and the background material has much humour hidden away to titillate and entice you in to the world of mech warfare
