Mental Disorders originally was released as an anonymous "A5 Booklet" to provide information to "help the DM to give both the PCs and NPCs a range of disorders to chose from", as well as to provide guidance, and occasionally game effects, for mental disorders during play. Disorders were roughly grouped according to cause. The text subsequently was circulated in ASCII and DOC formats.
