Three new and original single-player missions that expand on the Metro universe and includes the terrifying return of librarians. Players take on the role of a Red Line sniper, a Reich Heavy and a Ranger trainee, and their different perspectives during the events of Metro: Last Light. It also features 6 new trophies/achievements.
Mission 1: Heavy Squad - It consists of a single stretch of non-stop combat, with a tremendous number of enemies attacking, lengthy sniper duels with multiple opponents firing at the same time, no consistent safe zones and an enemy encounter near the end that requires as much luck as firing accuracy.
Mission 2: Kshatriya - The longest of the three - but is the single longest level in the Metro Video Game Series, at least up until Exodus which mostly has open-world levels. Unlike most levels, which have Artyom travelling from point A to B or battling a foe, Kshatriya uses new mechanics, such as open world scavenging, to emulate the act of Stalking - venturing up to the surface to retrieve artifacts of the old world.
Mission 3: Sniper Team - a Red Line sniper, along with a spotter infiltrates a heavily guarded Reich outpost on the surface, under the cover of a radioactive storm. The mission is heavily focussed on stealth and alerting the Nazis results in an automatic failure.
