This was an expansion published in Ystari magazine, issue 1.
These cards are randomly distributed at the beginning of the game, face down. They allow players to gain special powers.
Players keep their cards hidden and reveal them when they are used for the first time. Thereafter, they benefit from these powers to the rest of the game.
The characters are:
Entrepreneur: Can match the current bid (for example put a 9 after a 9) at any time.
Investor: Get a Metro token for the majority (and the
associated point). Neighborhoods with a Metro token are considered as adjacent to each other (while they still exist, of course).
Politician: Whenever you receive any -1 tokens, immediately place them back down on neighborhoods (may be different) that already have at least one token. You never take the Archaeological Site card.
Architect: The same-colored neighborhoods on the edge of the city are considered adjacent. "Trendy Neighborhood" tokens are worth 4 points instead of 3.
