Mickey's Fun Fair

Game ID: GID0208556
Collection Status
Description

Unusually for Pepys at the time, they released this game in a double sized box so that it could offer two complete packs of 44 cards, one red pack and one blue pack. It was suggested in the rules that you should use one pack for 2 or 3 players, but two packs for 4 or more.
The game seems to have 'borrowed' ideas in the playing card game Bezique. Players try to win tricks, in the normal way, i.e. you must follow suit, if you cannot, then you may trump the trick. There are no trumps at the start of the game but can be introduced later. If a player can lay down a 'marriage', that is, two pairs that go together:
The Prince marries Snow White
Donald Duck marries Donna Duck
Mickey Mouse marries Minnie Mouse
Big Bad Wolf marries The Witch
The suit of such a marriage immediately becomes trumps, at least until another marriage is announced, then that suit becomes trumps.
Points are scored for marriages and winning certain cards in your tricks.
