This is the first in Mike’s Sigil Factions Quick Guide series. This guide provides basic information about five new Sigil factions. Each faction will also be the subject of its own book. This guide presents the following factions:
The Anti-Theists: Members of this newly arrived faction oppose theism, regarding all religions as harmful. They encourage everyone to turn away from the gods. While so far limiting their opposition to words, this faction is being closely watched. The Athar are unsure of this faction but are hopeful they might prove useful.
Iron Blades: Only recently emerging as a faction, its members claim they protect the rights of humans and are concerned with preserving human traditions and culture. Critics claim it is devoted to the idea of human supremacy, and some worry this small faction could grow into a significant threat.
The Eternal Library: A minor faction by choice, the Eternal Library exists to preserve knowledge and is scrupulously neutral. This faction regularly hires adventurers to recover texts and other repositories of knowledge.
Magna Schola Magica: A new arrival to Sigil, this college trains wizards, engages in magical research and is especially interested in dangerous items and spells. While the college is professing to work for the safety of all, detractors and conspiracy theorists claim it is a front for a lich who is bent on conquest.
Order of White & Gold: A mysterious order whose members are always masked and fully clothed. A new arrival in Sigil, their wealth and generosity have already purchased respectability and influence. Rumors claim that its members are undead, constructs or even bodiless entities.
