When you woke up two days ago, you discovered that Grift was inhabited by a nightmare: half the city?s residents were not people but flesh-bound bones, animated skeletons who had lashed skin and meat to their forms. Some dark, eldritch magic has kept everyone else from seeing their true appearance.

When you spoke in cautious riddles about it, the hideous thing that wore your beloved?s face told you, between spittle-filled gnashings, of a possible answer in a grave-mound belonging to an ancient Tveland thane...
