From the introduction:
You have all just gotten back from the Dwarven city of Ironfold where you were negotiating a trade agreement. You are heading for your rooms when a page boy comes hurrying down the hall towards you. He looks at Susan and blurts out:
"King Gerred wants to see you in the throne room. He's....he's....oh your Highness it's terrible. Come quick!"
The boy darts off down the hall towards the throne room without even looking around to see if you are following.
