Mission Asteroid

User Summary

Mission Asteroid is a text-based graphical adventure game in which the player is an astronaut who must stop an asteroid from colliding with the Earth, ending life as we know it. The player must first pilot a rocket to the asteroid, then figure out a solution to the problem of the imminent impact. The game imposes a time limit by taking some time to process each of the player's one- or two-word commands. Thus, there is less "experimentation" possible than in many other Sierra Online adventure games.

This game, while the third released in the "Hi-Res Adventure" series, was marketed as "Hi-Res Adventure #0," as it was intended to draw in new players with its more streamlined and linear approach.
