Inspired by the Freya and other Final Fantasy Lancers, the Way of the Dragon Spear offers mastery of additional weapons such as the Pike, Lance, and Trident. Wielding such weapons grants a slight defensive edge as well as their signature ability, the Lancer Leap.
This powerful Ki technique sends them high in the sky and allows them to fall on foes as a reaction, possibly knocking them prone and dealing additional damage. This attack can interrupt enemy movement or attacks at the risk of falling prone and suffering falling damage if you miss.
At 6th level you can extend certain Ki techniques and features to a mount. At 11th level you can use a successful evasion as a literal jumping off point for your next attack. At 17th level you learn the ultimate technique, a Falling Star Maneuver that will devastate a foe and the land around them.
