This subclass was inspired by the yamabushi of Japan, ascetic monks who practice a synchronized religion that blends Buddhism and animistic beliefs. Living as mountain hermits, they undergo severe physical training in their quest for enlightenment. Legends say they can walk through fire, endure boiling water, cast spells, and shape-shift into tengu.
