In this game, each round you travel to a town to take part in a monster fighting tournament. While traveling you hunt, capture and train monsters that you’ll use in the tournament. You can hold up to three monsters at a time. Along the way you find items and run into other people on their way to the tournament who you can practice with before you get to town. When you get to the town at the end of the traveling phase of a round, you may shop, steal food, and win or lose gems on side games. When ready, you then battle in the town’s tournament.
The game includes a single player mode of varying length, three multiplayer modes, three levels of difficulty, and a daily challenge. The rule book is 50 pages but only about 20 pages are needed to play the normal game.
