Description

User Summary:

Myst was one of the first games that allowed you to become totally immersed in its fantasy world as you searched every rock, scrap of paper, and wall for any hint as to what secrets this place holds. As a stranger, you traveled to the island of Myst by the powers of a special book. Once you start exploring the island, you use other special books that Atrus, an artisan/explorer, has left behind to travel to other worlds. Clues in each of these worlds slowly reveal the background story of the game's areas and characters. The game has different endings depending on how you solve puzzles that you come in contact with through out the game.

Versions:

Myst: Masterpiece Edition is an updated version of the original Myst. It featured several improvements over the original game's multimedia: the images were re-rendered in 24-bit truecolor instead of the original Myst's 256 colors (8-bit); the score was re-mastered, and sound effects were enhanced.

The PlayStation Portable version includes the Rime age that was earlier seen in realMyst.

The Nintendo DS/3DS features re-mastered video and audio, using source code specifically re-written for the Nintendo DS. Features an all-new graphics set and the Rime age that was earlier seen in realMyst.
