Description

Publisher's blurb:

"It has been days of travel. Your face is sun-kissed and raw, but your fingers and toes are blue with poor circulation. You feel the wind on your face, and you smell flowers on the breeze, but you look around, and see nothing but mountains, and feel the heaviness of the air pressure. A moment before, you were trudging through a dank swamp, with the slime and algae still sticking to your clothes, and now, you feel cold mountain air and see nothing around you but snow and rocks. This cursed land is nonsense from top to bottom, but you have survived it. You must, or the town is doomed.."

You have been sent on an important mission to the frontier town of Sokkha, stranded among the madness of the Shattered Plains - a land which lacks any natural logic, where environments of every type are packed in and shuffled together. Sokkha has managed to survive, but this latest challenge is even too much for them to handle.

The Pale Rider has appeared. His aims are a mystery. His goals are unknown. The only thing the people of Sokkha knows is that a terrible curse befalls all who cross the path of this vengeful wraith.

Pale Rider of the Shattered Plains is a full adventure campaign for 5th edition Dungeons and Dragons, going all the way from 5th to 10th level, and is the sequel to Defenders of the Spring Citedel. This campaign is excellent for players who wish to explore strange, uncanny fantasy locations, with a rough-and-tumble frontier village as their base of operations. Explorers, hunters, and outlanders will feel right at home surviving the Shattered Plains. In this adventure your players might hunt - or be hunted - by the creatures out in the wilderness, fortify the defenses of the town, settle disputes between neighbors, uncover previously unknown mysteries of this land, and, of course, delve into ancient tombs and burial sites... to undo a previous adventurer's plunder!

Your players can experience all of these and more - if they don't succumb to the curse of the Pale Rider first.
