Description
Napoli 1799 is a non-simulation-based card wargame included with issue number 34 of the Italian gaming magazine IoGioco.
In January 1799, the Republic in Naples was proclaimed after tumultuous days of uprising, involving Jacobins, a division of the French army, and Lazzari. By June, a papal army counterrevolution, supported by the English fleet, ended the Republic and executed the Republicans.
Each side fought along with its own vision of freedom, and the game focuses on these tumultuous dynamics.
