NBA Live '97 was developed and published by Electronic Arts in 1997. It was the first NBA Live title to be featured on the Sega Saturn and marked the first year when NBA Live was available simultaneously on two generations of consoles and PC. The Saturn, PlayStation, and PC versions of the game are in 3D and feature motion graphics gleaned from studying then Sacramento Kings shooting guard Mitch Richmond. The Genesis and Super Nintendo versions of the game use the same engine from the previous year but with updated rosters.
