From the introduction:
On December 30th, the Bonesplitter clan conducted a very successful raid on a caravan passing by on a local road. The caravan was carrying ale, spirits and food as well as celebratory decorations. The caravan was bringing the supplies for the annual New Year’s celebration planned by the occupants of Astinex Keep, a stronghold in the dangerous borderlands of the kingdom. Needless to say the occupants of Astinex Keep are quite disappointed by this and vowed to punish the goblins. The goblins have been a minor problem for quite a long time and it’s time they be dealt with once and for all. So Lord Narhand Urthander has chosen his best men and charged them with going to the goblin’s lair and eradicating them before the New Year begins.
