Description

There is something alive in hyperspace...

You wake up from cryosleep to find alarms flashing. The Captain's cryopod is empty, the Android is disabled and the ship is not where it should be. Weird. When you find the Captain, it gets.... weirder.

In Nietzsche's Demon the cargo ship Pharaon becomes entangled with a being that is native to hyperspace, creating a dual reality near an unstable worm hole. Soon, the wormhole collapses, destroying the Pharaon and creating a time loop. The characters wake up in their cryopods again, with their memories intact, and only a few hours to escape before they die again. And again.

ietzsche's Demon is a 52-page half-size booklet (5.5" x 8.5") written for Mothership 1E. It contains:

detailed descriptions of the events organized in a five act structure
an alternate version of Act II for a PC acting as the Ship's Android
4 pages describing The Entity, including a d10 table of how it may appear to each character, and its special attacks
a table of information that the characters can coax out of the ship's computer
clear explanations of the module-specific mechanics
an optional system for non-lethal combat
tips on incorporating character skills
tips on handling common player actions
portraits and descriptions of 8 NPCs
5 rambling stories from the NPC "Old Ben" to amuse, distract or annoy the other characters

This life as you now live it and have lived it, you have to live once more...
