隠れ身のナイトプリンセス (Night Princess) is a werewolf-style game from Japan, in which two teams try to identify the leader of the opposing team and defeat them. However, if a non-leader is defeated, the attacking team loses.
The game has decks of cards to identify the two teams and the players' roles in their team, and item cards which are used for attack. Once the teams are established, the items cards are dealt out to form player hands.
On their turn, a player plays an item card as an attack and places a damage token on it, and directs this against an opponent. The damage token represents a clue as to the identity of the attacker. The item cards have unique abilities which aid in the attack.
Once the attack is resolved, the victim becomes the next player to attack if possible.
The game continues in this manner until somebody is defeated, and reveals their hidden identity. If they were the leader, the opposing team wins. If not, the opposing team loses.
