No-Frills Fantasy has been designed to be flexible enough to be used for any genre of game. Nearly all the theme is inherent in the keywords you use to define the classes. If you want to run a World War II variant, change the classes to Grunt, Medic, and Sergeant. Run it as a Western. Or a Space Opera. Or a Cyberpunk campaign.
