Nobunaga's Ambition: Lord of Darkness is the fourth game in the Nobunaga's Ambition series. As with the other games in the series, this game concerns the events of the Japanese civil war of the 16th century. Fifteen different warlords are represented in the game. Up to eight human players can play, each in control of a different leader and his corresponding faction, battling for tactical and military supremacy through careful management of resources and population. Two scenarios can be played: 1555, the beginning of the civil war, or 1571, Nobunaga being surrounded by his enemies.
