Nova was a sentient alien scientist, and he had made a startling, grave discovery; the galaxy he had called home was also home to an imminent supernova, about to wipe out life as they knew it. Many of the animals in the galaxy were not sentient; they would have no way of surviving on their own. So he established a team for the preservation of alien life. Jumping from planet to planet in a race against a star about to explode, they sought to gather these aliens into a space vehicle that could carry them all to safety. They called it Nova’s Ark…
This is a light cooperative game for 2-7 players which plays in about 15-20 minutes; it also features a solitaire variant.
There are 72 cards in the deck in sets of 2, 3, 4 or 5; a player starts his turn by drawing a set of cards equal to the number of players. This player chooses a card, and passes the cards around the table, so that there are a dwindling number of choices. As players collect sets, these are played in to clear space in a player's hand. Each player has a hand-limit of 5 cards. If any player exceeds the number of cards he can hold, the team is defeated. If all 72 cards are either held (without exceeding hand-limit) or presented in sets, all players win.
