The small gods of a place, Nymphs come into existence in places of great natural beauty. Their bodies take on attributes of where they come from.
Alseids are the guardians of the groves and clearings, Dryads, of the trees, Naiads of freshwater streams, their saline cousins are the Nereads and the Oreads are of the rock and stone.
Each Nymph has a heartcore, and whilst they may go adventuring, if the heartcore is damaged then they are dealt a grevious blow. One from which they may not soon recover.
