Oath of Occlusion paladins are pledged to prevent particular facts from becoming public knowledge. Paladins are often a bit one note, played as the epitome of all that is good and noble, but morality is rarely so clear cut. This oath is designed to provide a holy mission with a twist, and allow a seemingly single minded paladin the opportunity for ulterior motives and duplicity not often seen within the character class.
Whether lonely solo guardians or part of some larger organized order these paragons strive to hide, or to keep hidden, that which must not be known. Some who uphold the Oath of Occlusion wage war on those they suspect of knowing the information they seek to hide from the world, others maintain dignified vows of total silence, and some zealously mutilate their own minds, removing parts of their own knowledge relating to their oath to prevent its spread.
