Oath of Revelation

Game ID: GID0230721
Collection Status
Description

Oath of Revelation paladins are pledged to prevent the hoarding of knowledge and the keeping of secrets. Their overriding belief, that absolute honesty is the only basis for a moral society, makes them the ultimate upholders of free speech. They are also fierce critics of all those who would hide secrets or refuse to divulge information. Some who uphold the oath of revelation act as inquisitorial justicars, some wage war on those they suspect of hiding information from the world, others maintain dignified vows of total honesty and expect all their associates to be equally open.

Revelation paladins often work for organizations dedicated to copying knowledge and disseminating it through publicly accessible archives. Oathholders who are part of such an organization will frequently send up-to-date reports and dispatches to all other members of the organization. More extreme individual oathholders, acting alone from personal conviction, actively steal secrets and reveal lies wherever they can be found, believing any collateral fallout from their actions to be the moral responsibility of the person who kept the truth hidden from the world in the first place.

If you choose the Oath of Revelation, your character must do everything in their power to seek out the truth and make public things others would keep veiled.
