Description
Octet is a rowing game. Players begin with an 8-place boat and a single rower in place number one on the boat. Each player gets 4 blocks; blocks have numbers from zero to 8 on them. A round happens in two phases: first, you can take any two of your blocks and place a man on the difference space on your boat (play a 7 and a 3 and place a guy on space 4). Everyone does this, then phase two begins: now, if you play a pair of numbers you bump the person off that spot on every boat, including your own. Then the boats move equal to the number of men on the boat. You draw four new blocks each round and don't need to use them all each turn, allowing a massive build up or bump off spree. First to the finish line wins.
