Two years ago, a pair of swans made their nest on the bank of The Crinkle, near the village of Silta. Not long after their arrival, the villagers discovered a huge vein of silver in a nearby hill. The animals were nicknamed the Silver Swans for the luck and prosperity they brought the people of the village. In recent months, the foothills of the nearby Mount Earthfang have become more dangerous and inhospitable. Further misfortune has befallen Silta, as one of the swans has suddenly gone missing. Heroes from nearby villages have been summoned to the town by Elder Marik to rescue the sacred bird and punish those responsible for its disappearance.
