OPERTION AKIMBO is the code name for a top secret Allied WWII mission to liberate key areas in northern France & set the stage for a full scale invasion at D-Day. The game is a solo card game using a 2-sided 54 card deck.
You General, must organize the joint effort between the US, Canadian & English forces in this critical operation. Your task is to lay the optimal path through the French country side, organize men and air support & achieve key objectives. Finally, it is critical you deliver all 3 squads to the rendezvous point.
Each turn you will choose 1 card & 1 side of that card to play. One side will be a path through the countryside with enemies to overcome & the other is a completed mission objective, unit forces to deploy, or air support.
You win by completing three 10 card paths, overcoming all enemies by either ground and air troops & completing 15 mission objectives before all cards are used.
The game is fully PnP on BGG and was designed for the 2021 54-Card deck contest.
