From the introduction:
It’s 2015 a group of seasoned professionals is making a name for itself as an experienced part of the in-house security section of a major aerospace design company. Posh talk for an outfit of highly trained, very experienced mercenaries working as contractors for the company. Mostly the team specialised in protecting up and coming big shots, be that bodyguard detail, securing their homes or getting them back from an extraction team. Though not in the big time, the team had a reputation for discreet, reliable work and they always earned their contract price. All of this changed when they got the contract to protect a young up and coming executive of a military design company. This executive was going to a trade seminar; everything was going perfectly, too perfectly. A few hours before the executive was due to leave the hotel and travel to the airport to travel back to HQ something happened that was to change the lives of everyone involved. The security detail was ambushed by two 6-man fire teams and put under a barrage of heavy fire. The security detail fought back bravely taking down several of their attackers but in the end they couldn’t do the impossible. The team was down seriously injured and their charge was “extracted” by a rival corp.
