This is an adventure for four to six OSR/D20 player- characters with some experience. A group that has experienced the module [ “OSR Into the Westwood”] or the twin introductory modules [ “OSR At the High Point Inn”] and [ “OSR In the Pass”] or both would be suitable. If they have some replacements or additions, even if those are only first level, that is perfectly fine. All values for treasure are given in the Silver Penny $ of Glon.’ In this adventure, we see again the factional conflict that complicates life in The Black Mountain District as we saw in the adventures “OSR At the High Point Inn” and “OSR In the Pass.”
The adventure is challenging and the players should not feel that they have to get all the way through without a return to civilization for resupply and reinforcement. Time to play the adventure has varied from three to six sessions.
