Ost !

Ost ! is a medieval skirmish miniature wargame, originally published in Vae Victis magazine issue #32.

The game uses a simple chit-pull system (using common playing cards) to alternate minis activation between players. Each activated figure has 2 actions, which can be used to move, fight, fire, reload a weapon or perform a special action (such as climbing on horseback). Combat is resolved by an opposed d10 roll with modifiers (for fighters skill, armor, weapons...), ranged combat by a die roll on a table.

The game includes rules for ranged weapons, cover, armor, horse riding, morale, civilians and a scenario ("Les routiers sont sympas").
